Job Overview:
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Marine Engineer with expertise in handling ASD Tugs to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and leadership skills, ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the vessel’s machinery and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all onboard machinery and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and maritime regulations.
- Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure vessel readiness and operational efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of all engineering activities, including repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience:
- A total of 4 years as a Marine Engineer, including a minimum of 2 years as a Chief Engineer on specialized crafts (ASD Tugs).
- Certification and Documentation:
- All STCW certificates as required under Chapter VI of the STCW Code.
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate approved by the flag administration or a medical center authorized by the Mercantile Marine Department of the candidate’s country of origin.
